Okay so this is my first EVER cover that I’m posting and I’m really nervous about putting this online because I just started playing guitar in November and I’m shy about singing in front of people and even more shy about playing guitar.
Also, I apologize for just staring at the floor, I made a video looking at the screen and literally looked cross eyed the whole time so yeah..
Okay Erin stop talking, but this is Alas I Cannot Swim by Laura Marling.

Okay, this picture has always bothered the ever-loving fuck out of me.
WHOSE FUCKIN’ ARM IS ON THE TOP? Her (assuming it is a ‘her’, her arms look feminine to me, but who’s to say?) body cannot twist like that, and you see her hand on the anonymous arm.
And, assuming his arm tucked under her like his other one is (because even if it wasn’t, it’s physically impossible that his arm is both tucked over the anonymous arm and the anonymous arm at the same time), THEN WHOSE ARM IS THAT?
Like, there’s gotta be a third person or something.
It’s just really, really confusing and every time I see this picture I want to reblog it but then I’m like fuckin’ wait a minute what is even going on, where is this other person hidden? And then I get creeped out because I can’t find them and it’s this really scary game of Where’s Waldo alksdjlaskjdflksadfjk ok.

You know what’s kind of beautiful?
In French, you don’t really say “I miss you.” You say “tu me manques,” which is closer to “you are missing from me.”
I love that. “You are missing from me.” You are a part of me, you are essential to my being. You are like a limb, or an organ, or blood. I cannot function without you.
